Social Communication Disorders

• Struggles with peer interactions, or regulating tone/body language

• Difficulty with conversation skills, self-advocacy, or perspective-taking

• Difficulty understanding boundaries, understanding manipulation and or figurative language (e.g. sarcasm, jokes, similes, idioms)

• Poor organization, time management, or task initiation

• Difficulty planning, breaking down assignments, or remembering steps,

• Difficulty problem solving or with setting goals

• Challenges with sentence formulation, following directions

• Challenges expressing ideas clearly when speaking or writing

Learning Disabilities targeted

• Provides support for reading difficulties, including dyslexia from a licensed Speech Language Pathologist

• Addresses writing challenges, such as dysgraphia

• Uses tailored interventions designed specifically for adolescents

• Aims to improve literacy skills and functional skills

Speech-Language Disorders targeted

• Therapy with a Speech Pathologist targeting language disorders (receptive and expressive language)

• Stuttering or Cluttering through fluency-enhancing strategies

• Treating/articulation and phonological disorders to improve speech sound production

• Support individuals with various speech challenges (e.g., voice, resonance)

• Aim to develop effective communication skills for everyday interactions
