Services

1.

Create a clear, credible and confident message

Rule #1 of effective communication is to create clear messages. Using words that mean exactly what you want to say is just common sense. Creating messages that the reader understands is just good business.

Example:
Commonly confused words bring vs. take
Wrong:
The manager would like all consultants to bring their marketing plan with them to the meeting.
Right: The manager would like all consultants to take their marketing plan with them to the meeting.

Communicating Services
Example: Commonly confused words its vs. it's
Wrong:
Its been four years since we've communicated.
Right:
It's been four years since we've communicated.

2.

Edit, alter and improve your marketing and public relations projects

Rule#2 of effective communication is that nobody's perfect. Every message can be improved. Do not be too shy or too confident to let other people edit your message - it is painless - you will be pleasantly surprised.

Example:
Use the active voice vs. the passive voice
Wrong:
Bob's boat was sailed to Canada by Peter O'Leary.
Right:
Peter O'Leary sailed Bob's boat to Canada.

Example: Correct spelling of words
Wrong:
J.J. served as the President's liason with Congress.
Right:
J.J. served as the President's liaison with Congress.

3.

Get your point across with positive results

Rule #3 of effective communication is to get to the point and create a positive result. Remember, your message represents you - make it positive.

Example:
Clearly communicate your message
Wrong:
There is a decline in the sale of prescriptions for antibiotics this year.
Right:
Prescription antibiotic sales declined this year.
